In 2017, the prominent blogger and human rights defender Nguyễn Ngọc Như Quỳnh, known as Mother Mushroom, was sentenced to ten years in jail for simply voicing her opinions.

Energised and motivated by your many kind messages posted last week on Amnesty International’s Facebook page, however, Mother Mushroom’s family are still overwhelmed with sadness and are longing for her return.

Big thanks and appreciation from her children, Mushroom and Bear, as well as from her mother for your meaningful and tireless support for our struggle for her freedom.

We will not rest so long as Mother Mushroom is behind bars!
