Cục Quản lý Xuất Nhập cảnh thuộc Bộ Công an lên tiếng cho rằng hộ chiếu phổ thông mẫu mới của Việt Nam được xây dựng trên cơ sở đúng luật, đúng quy định và đúng chuẩn quốc tế.
Trần tình của Cục Quản lý Xuất Nhập cảnh được đưa ra ngày 27/7 sau khi phía Đại sứ và Lãnh sự Đức tại Việt Nam chính thức thông báo tạm thời không cấp thị thực cho những công dân Việt mang hộ chiếu mẫu mới. Lý do vì mẫu này thiếu nơi sinh khiến có thể dẫn đến một số vấn đề nghiêm trọng.
Quyết định vừa nêu được thực hiện sau khi Cơ quan Nội vụ Đức cho biết chưa công nhận mẫu hộ chiếu mới của Việt Nam bởi thiếu nơi sinh.
Liên quan vấn đề này, vào sáng ngày 28/7 Bộ Ngoại giao Việt Nam có buổi làm việc với Đại sứ quán Đức ở Hà Nội. Vụ Báo chí thuộc Bộ này cho biết đã gửi công hàm để nghị phía Đức hỗ trợ tháo gỡ vướng mắc.
Tại Berlin, Đại sứ Việt Nam Vũ Quang Minh được báo chí Nhà nước dẫn lời rằng đang thu xếp để có cuộc làm việc sớm nhất với các cơ quan liên quan Đức để giải quyết vấn đề liên quan mẫu hộ chiếu phổ thông mới của Việt Nam.
