Đại tá Ngô Xuân Huyền, Phó trưởng Công an huyện Xuyên Mộc, tỉnh Bà Rịa Vũng Tàu sáng 3-12 nói về việc con trai ông là Ngô Xuân Quyền bị báo Thanh Niên online phanh phui là chủ sòng bạc trong rừng thu hàng tỷ đồng mỗi ngày.
“Thật sự tôi đau lòng lắm! Tôi và mẹ cháu đã ly dị và cháu ở với mẹ. Nhiều người ngộ nhận rằng tôi này nọ. Tôi rất đau khổ. Tôi khẳng định là mình không bao giờ bao che mà còn cương quyết,” ông Ngô Xuân Huyền nói với mạng báo Tuổi trẻ Online.
Ngô Xuân Quyền (27 tuổi) con Đại tá Huyền đang bị công an truy bắt vì được cho là người tổ chức, điều hành sới cờ bạc trong rừng của Khu bảo tồn thiên nhiên Bình Châu – Phước Bửu.
Trước đó một ngày, Công an tỉnh Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu bắt giam 9 người để điều tra về hành vi tổ chức đánh bạc và đánh bạc tuy nhiên chủ sòng bạc đã nhanh chân bỏ trốn khỏi nơi cư trú.
